Make A Donation to Support One Tibetan Family In Lhasa

The current situation in Tibet is very dangerous for most Tibetans. In fact, our good friend Lobsang has basically been on house arrest for over a month.

His livelihood is dependant on tourism as he is a phenomenal guide. After the initial Tibetan protests in March 2008 China closed the border and forced all Western tourists out of the country. Tibet was effectively sealed off from the rest of the world. All of Lobsang's clients had to cancel their trips which stripped him of all income during the peak tourist season.

Please consider making a small monetary donation to help Lobsang and his family. He is an important part of the Tibetan economy as he spends money with so many Tibetan businesses throughout the country when he is guiding clients on sightseeing treks. We need him to stay in business.

I am looking to you, my fantastic audience to contribute $1 or $2 to this cause. We do not need large donations; we just need a lot of donations! Strength in numbers. Let's harness the power of this global Internet and podcasting phenomenon to move beyond mere entertainment and help out one Tibetan family in need. We can make a real difference.

Just click the donation button below and all funds raised will be set aside and transferred to Lobsang. None of this money will be used to support the podcast. This is all about Lobsang and his family.

Thank you for your help. I will keep everyone updated of our progress.
